What you'll do
As an Assistant Development Accountant, you will play a vital role in shaping NHG's financial strategies for housing and commercial property development. Your work will ensure our projects are financially optimised, directly contributing to the creation of thriving communities across London. By aligning financial insights with operational goals, you'll empower teams to make data-driven decisions that enhance service delivery and resident satisfaction.
How you'll do it
- Specialise in development finance tailored to the development of housing and commercial properties.
- Facilitate effective communication across departments by addressing their specific needs.
- Be knowledgeable and involved in overseeing financial performance and efficiency in the development and sales division
- Enhance decision-making of project managers by providing day-to-day financial advice through effective business partnering
- Work alongside the Treasury and Appraisal team to promote data-driven decisions
- Actively work on building and nurturing relationships both within the organisation and with external parties.
- Adapt and refine reporting processes to suit the evolving needs of the development team, providing relevant financial analysis

Essential:- Active progress toward AAT/CCAB qualifications and a passion for developing expertise in property development finance.
- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and a willingness to learn D365 and Power BI.
- Knowledge in processing invoices and a solid understanding of VAT treatment in construction schemes.
- Excellent communication skills, with a knack for building relationships across finance and operational teams.
Desirable:- Experience with Dynamics 365
