Job summary

Asda is seeking an Assistant Designer for Womens Soft Wovens. The role supports research of trends, helps drive product development, and collaborates with UK and overseas suppliers to deliver innovative, affordable designs. A strong CAD skills foundation and proactive, organised approach are essential.

We offer a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days in the Home Office. You’ll join a large fashion and product team, with benefits including pension, staff discounts, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience in fashion design within clothing retail or supply base design environments.
• Proven track record in researching and producing innovative designs aligned with customer needs.
• Experience working with UK and overseas suppliers/factories to develop multi-category product.
• Strong CAD software skills (Photoshop, Illustrator) and a good understanding of digital workflows.
• Organised, efficient administration and sample management.

Responsibilities

• Assist driving product development and contribute to research of new trends.
• Support decision making with market information and design insights.
• Collaborate with line manager to deliver stylish and affordable products.
• Coordinate with suppliers/factories to develop designs across categories.
