Asda is seeking an Assistant Designer for Womens Soft Wovens at our George House site. You will contribute to trend research, develop designs, and collaborate with UK and overseas suppliers to deliver stylish, affordable products aligned with customer needs.

The role is full-time, permanent, 37.5 hours per week, with a hybrid working pattern requiring a minimum of three days in a Home Office. You will use CAD tools (Photoshop and Illustrator) and manage samples and admin efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in fashion design and researching innovative designs to meet customer needs.
• Experience working with UK and overseas suppliers/factories to develop multi-category product.
• Proficient in CAD software (Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) with strong critical path understanding.
• Innovative approach and desire to drive a more digital way of working.
• Organised daily admin and sample management.
• Ability to combine multiple research avenues (social media, blogs, trend sites/books) to deliver designs under guidance.

• Experience within either a clothing retail or supply base design environment and a strong track record of researching and producing innovative designs in line with customer needs
• Experience in working with UK and overseas suppliers/ factories to develop multi category product
• A broad knowledge of CAD software (including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator) as well as a strong critical path understanding will be key
• An innovative approach and desire to drive a more digital way of working.
• Organised and efficient daily admin and sample management is essential.
• The ability to combine a number of research avenues – Social Media, Blogs & trend sites/books, etc to deliver innovative and commercial designs under the guidance of line manager.
