Job Title: Assistant Design Manager

Location: Midlands & North

Fawkes & Reece have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Design Manager to work with one of the Uk's leading Tier 1 main contractors who are known for delivering high profile, complex projects.

The experienced Assistant Design Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of high-value technically challenging projects. Reporting to the Senior Design Manager, this position will focus on assisting the overall design process from tender stage through to completion of design.

Responsibilities:

  • To assist the Senior Design Manager on developing the design programme and to prepare scope of work documents/scope mark-ups.
  • Design team meetings and workshops.
  • Collate, manage and submit design evidence for BREEAM, CfSH and client insurers.
  • To work alongside the commercial team during procurement, interrogating subcontractor quotes for compliance.
  • Coordinate design activities between internal disciplines, consultants and supply chain partners.
  • Assemble and archive handover information at project completion Interrogate and gain full understanding of the Employer's requirements, design brief and specifications.

Requirements:

  • Good presentation skills with attention to detail

  • Experience of programme and sequencing of construction projects
  • The ability to work under pressure and be self-motivated
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in design/contracting in the construction industry
  • CSCS Card
