This role is based at our site in the Yorkshire region within the New Homes construction business, focusing on high-rise/multistorey and single-family housing projects.
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an assistant design manager eager to develop their career within a growing company and gain experience on live projects at various stages of the build cycle. Working on-site with a dedicated and supportive team, the candidate should be driven, motivated, and possess a good level of technical ability. Ideally, we are seeking a graduate from a design or construction management course with approximately 1-2 years post-qualification experience, or a candidate with 3-5 years' industry experience.
Under the guidance of the project Design Manager(s), the Assistant Design Manager will handle design and technical aspects of projects, ensuring delivery on budget and schedule. Responsibilities include reviewing design and technical drawings, managing external consultants, and effective communication with the wider United Living team.
The successful candidate will be provided with training and opportunities to advance their design management career.
