Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Design Manager to join our client, a Design and Build Company known for their impressive portfolio of high-rise residential and commercial developments. You will support and work alongside a Senior Design Manager and project team in planning, monitoring, reviewing, integrating, and coordinating design activities. This is a great opportunity to work on a challenging project from start to finish and develop your career with a reputable business.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Ensure best practice principles are followed, including design assurance and buildability reviews carried out regularly, ensuring design deliverables are met and aligned with the commercial strategy.
  2. Assist the Senior Design Manager in monitoring risks, identifying opportunities, and recording and assessing the impact of changes on the project.
  3. Record all project interactions related to design, including capturing design approvals, comments, submissions, and reviews on a daily, monthly, or ongoing basis, driving results and ensuring all designs are approved in line with project protocols.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Preferably hold a relevant professional qualification in a related subject.
  • Experience of on-site delivery.
  • Experience working effectively and leveraging relationships within other roles on site and within the project team to ensure a cohesive approach to design, procurement, and construction.
