You will manage vehicle compliance, supervise logistics activities, and support the team in achieving high service standards. Qualifications

  • Able to make decisions in the absence of the Depot Manager.
  • Able to manage vehicle issues or damages effectively.
  • Capable of conducting alcohol testing when required.

Job description

Our Assistant Depot Supervisor will ensure that our warehouse operation always runs smoothly and that each one of our customers receives their appliance on time, every time. You will be responsible for ensuring that our delivery and installation runs are prepped to go out each morning and supported via tracking any issues which may arise throughout the day.

A hands-on approach is required to support our self-loading depot and you will ensure that all our vehicles are road worthy, legal and compliant whilst providing on-going support to our Drivers, Quality and People teams.

  • Salary: £25,563.20 per annum
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
  • Shift pattern: working 4am-1pm and 1pm-10pm
  • Job Type: Full time and permanent contract
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
  • Complete in-house reports for the Depot Manager daily
  • Check that all vehicles leaving the depot are secure and meet required transport legislation requirements
  • Ensure that all members of the team both employed and self-employed are complying with the training that they have received
  • Complete alcohol testing when required
  • Communicate with our Drivers, handling any queries efficiently and in a professional manner
  • Transport Debriefing duties of vehicles returning from delivery and installation runs
  • Take responsibility for managing the transhipping and reloads
