Job summary

The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) invites applications for the Assistant Dean, Academic Affairs at the Greystone campus. You will lead communication, administration, delivery, and controls of campus educational activities in alignment with CIA values of excellence, ethics, and diversity.

You will supervise a mix of full-time and adjunct faculty, oversee program delivery, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards while supporting faculty growth and student success.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a food-related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of two years of administrative experience in an educational setting.
• Minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day management of full-time, adjunct, and visiting faculty across programs.
• Hire and supervise assigned faculty at the campus.
• Coordinate scheduling of faculty and courses with Registrar; project schedules for each academic year.
• Monitor classrooms and labs for issues and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Ensure compliance with CIA policies and external accreditation requirements.
• Interact with students to discuss problems and provide equitable solutions.
