We are seeking a motivated administrative professional to join the TwinsUK team, a comprehensive health study involving 16,000 twins across the UK. The role involves booking participants onto research studies via phone, email, and post, preparing visit information packs, and providing office-based support.
The post holder will occasionally explain study procedures to participants, ensuring research complies with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and safeguarding participant wellbeing.
Interaction with participants and multidisciplinary teams will be frequent, requiring a professional approach, initiative, and teamwork. Excellent communication skills are essential, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to build trust and confidence is required.
The role is primarily administrative but demands flexibility and adaptability to meet study needs.

TwinsUK is the UK's largest adult twin registry, established in 1992 by Professor Tim Spector from King's College London. It investigates the genetic and environmental basis of various diseases, with over 15,000 twins participating. The cohort is highly genotyped and phenotyped, supporting diverse research areas.
The role offers opportunities for professional growth, including CPD funding, tailored personal development plans, and training in research skills. The usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional flexibility for outside appointments.
The research includes genetics of metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal health, aging, vision, and microbiome effects on health.

Salary: £31,944 to £34,937 per year (pro-rata for part-time).
