Job description

At DFS, we're all about great people and brilliant customer experiences. Right now, we’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant CRM Manager to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a key role where you’ll support the planning and delivery of personalised and impactful communications to our customers and prospects, making a difference at every stage of their DFS journey.

You’ll work across a range of direct-to-customer channels including email, SMS and direct mail - developing data-driven roadmaps, delivering successful campaigns, and collaborating with teams across the business (and beyond) to bring our communications to life.

So, if you love CRM, thrive on variety, and have a passion for putting the customer first, this could be the role for you.

What you'll be doing
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of our CRM strategy - driving customer lifecycle value through targeted, personalised campaigns across email, SMS and direct mail.
  • Working closely with our data and insights teams to optimise segmentation and targeting.
  • Helping to build and manage a test-and-learn roadmap, using results to improve performance.
  • Reporting on campaign effectiveness and sharing insights with the wider business.
  • Supporting and developing CRM Executives to help them grow and succeed.
  • Assisting in the management and optimisation of the CRM budget to maximise return on investment.
  • Contributing to cross-functional projects such as integrations and product feed updates.
  • Building relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth campaign delivery.
  • Reviewing and improving internal processes to drive efficiency and success.
The role is for you if...

We’re after someone with solid experience in CRM and customer communications, who’s ready to bring energy and ideas to the team. You’ll be comfortable working with data, managing projects, and collaborating across teams to make things happen.

We'd love if you had...

  • Strong experience in CRM across multiple direct-to-customer channels.
  • A good understanding of customer behaviour and lifecycle marketing.
  • Experience working with ESPs/CDPs (Bloomreach experience is a plus).
  • Comfortable managing and mentoring team members in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to influence stakeholders and build strong working relationships.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of responsibility in handling customer data.
  • Retail experience is desirable but not essential.
