A recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a candidate for biodiversity conservation works on the Great Orme. Responsibilities include assisting in park management, maintaining visitor facilities, supervising volunteers, and conducting guided walks. Ideal candidates should have experience in conservation and strong communication skills. The role requires weekend availability during peak seasons.
To undertake biodiversity conservation works on the Great Orme in accordance with Conwy�s Biodiversity Action Plan.
To assist in the implementation of the Great Orme Management Plan, including the undertaking of general warden duties, litter collection, information provision, law enforcement and site management / maintenance, including the supervision of work experience placements and other volunteers / volunteer groups.
To undertake regular management and maintenance of the Country Park Visitor Centre, including maintenance of the displays.
To undertake regular maintenance of the Wildlife Garden and paths in the vicinity of the Visitor Centre.
To be responsible for cash handling and the regulation of Country Park sales stock for the Wildlife Gift Shop and other outlets.
To undertake guided walk services and services provided to educational groups.
To undertake monitoring and survey work.
To carry out regular safety audits and routine office administration.
To undertake regular weekend working throughout the Spring to Autumn period in respect of management of the Country Park Visitor Centre and the wider Country Park, and to be available to work other evenings and weekends, as required by the demands of the service.
To regularly deputise for the Country Park Warden, as required, in all respects of the management of the Great Orme Country Park and Local Nature Reserve.
