Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Belfast is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager to support the Commercial Manager and the Contracts & Framework team in delivery, cost management and performance measurement on major projects.

You will certify supplier payments, develop cost procedures, prepare monthly cost reports, assist with NEC4 contract documents, and advise project managers on contractual obligations while ensuring compliance and value for money.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related construction subject.
• 2 years' experience in a construction contract environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and professional conduct.
• Experience in measurement and valuation of construction works.
• Strong numeracy and budget management ability.
• Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

• Verify and certify supplier payments and ensure correct amounts.
• Develop procedures for cost management to improve value for money.
• Prepare monthly cost and performance reports for projects.
• Assist in NEC4 contract documents for projects.
• Review contract documents and advise on contractual obligations of project teams.
• Support C&F team to ensure compliance with procedures for construction works.
• Undertake other cost and contract management duties as required by the Commercial Manager.
