Kobalt Music’s Publishing department is seeking a strong administrator with excellent organisational and communication skills to join the Copyright team in London. The team manages the initial stages of copyright processes, ensuring rights are properly delivered to Collection Societies worldwide.

You'll be part of a collaborative, dedicated team working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where attention to detail is crucial. We value organisational and prioritisation skills, along with an inquisitive mindset. In return, you will work with a team and organization that welcomes your ideas on maximizing value for our clients.

WHAT DOES A COPYRIGHT ASSISTANT AT KOBALT DO?
  • Ensure claims to our catalogue are accurately sent globally, collaborating with internal departments as needed.
  • Assist in delivering work and agreement registrations to Collection Societies (PRS, ASCAP, etc.) and sub-publishers to ensure our clients’ catalogues are properly claimed internationally.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal teams and external contacts to gather information and resolve data issues for catalogue registration.
WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
  • A self-starter with strong organisational, prioritisation, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Tech-savvy, analytical, with experience working with Excel and large data sets.
  • Strong internal and external communication skills.
  • A genuine interest in music publishing, especially Copyright.
