Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated Assistant Cook to join their team at Rufford Primary and Nursery School. The role involves preparing and serving school meals while ensuring food hygiene and safety regulations are followed. Ideal candidates will have experience in food preparation and a commitment to customer care. This is a part-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours:25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, term time only 9:00am - 2:00pm
Worker Type: Onsite worker
Salary: Starting Salary is FTE £24,790 - £25,584 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role
As an Assistant Cook you will work alongside the Catering Supervisor to assist with the preparation and serving of school meals. The successful applicant will also be responsible at times for the day to day running of the school kitchen in the absence of the Catering Supervisor.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
Experience in food preparation including vegetables and sauces
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations and their application in the kitchen
Knowledge of good customer care practice and experience of working in a customer focusedenvironment
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
