Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, term time only 9:00am – 2:00pm

Salary: Starting Salary is FTE £24,790 - £25,584 per annum (pro rata for part-time)

About the Role

As an Assistant Cook, you will work alongside the Catering Supervisor to prepare and serve school meals. You may also be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school kitchen in the absence of the Catering Supervisor.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in food preparation, including vegetables and sauces
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations and their application in the kitchen
  • Knowledge of good customer care practices and experience working in a customer-focused environment

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this position.
