Assistant Cook - Leicester, Leicestershire

We’re a specialist catering company dedicated to providing delicious, healthy, and exciting food for Independent Schools. We understand the vital role food plays in a pupil’s ability to learn, develop, and flourish. Food isn’t just fuel; it’s essential for creating happy, healthy, and inquisitive young minds.

Lexington is committed to safeguarding children and colleagues. Candidates shortlisted for this role will be required to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, including the Children's Barred List.

What you’ll be doing…

As an Assistant Cook, you will have significant responsibilities and opportunities for growth, becoming a key member of our team. Your duties will include ensuring the food quality is high, the kitchen is clean and well-presented, and supplies are well-stocked.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the food is prepared to the highest standard
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the kitchen and service area
• Stay updated with menus and food offerings
• Provide warm and friendly service
• Follow COSHH, Food Safety, and Health & Safety regulations

Working Pattern:

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 2:30 pm
