Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of construction projects from inception through to completion.
• Assist with coordination of clients, contractors, consultants and wider project teams.
• Support the preparation and management of project programmes, reports and project documentation.
• Attend project meetings, assist with recording actions and develop confidence in leading meetings as experience grows.
• Assist with feasibility studies, site surveys, investigations and other project assessments.
• Monitor contractor progress and provide updates to the wider project team.
• Develop experience in Contract Administration and Employer's Agent duties under JCT contracts.
• Work alongside experienced team members to develop into a Project Manager capable of taking ownership of projects.

Assistant Construction Project Manager Position Overview

Assistant Construction Project Manager Position Requirements

• Degree in Construction, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline would be advantageous but is not essential
• Open to graduate and early-career candidates with a genuine interest in construction project management
• Previous experience within construction, consultancy or contracting would be advantageous
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing with clients, contractors and consultants
• Commercial awareness and an interest in developing wider Quantity Surveying knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with Microsoft Project experience advantageous
• Ambitious, proactive and self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop
• Personable and professional approach with the ability to work effectively within a small team
