Job summary

A leading construction recruitment firm is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager for rail projects based in Reading. The role involves coordinating construction activities and ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Qualifications

Job title: Assistant Construction Manager- Rail

Type: Contract

Location: Reading

Rate: Dependant on experience

Role

You will be expected to co-ordinate activities of construction and associated works with the other disciplines and to deliver construction work safely to the level of quality expected by the company and the Client on site; to budget and in line with all relevant standards, processes and procedures. The will be a asset focused role

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Undertaking the role of assistant construction manager for projects across region
  • Controlling of technical activities and man power
  • Rail engineering co-ordination across sites and work packages
  • Third party contact
  • Office based co-ordination

Essential requirements:

  • Comprehensive understanding of rail engineering
  • Safety Management training.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of structures standards, processes and procedures.
  • Site based work previously
  • PTS
