A reputable manufacturing business is seeking a proactive Assistant Compliance Officer to support the Compliance Manager in maintaining standards across Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental areas. The successful candidate will receive training and mentoring while taking on responsibilities to help maintain compliance records and support audits. The role is full-time and based on the outskirts of Grantham.

Role Responsibilities
• Assist in maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems
• Support risk assessments and compliance audits
• Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation
• Help ensure the business remains up to date with H&S and Environmental legislation
• Communicate with internal departments and external auditors
• Use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams for documentation and reporting
• Participate in continuous improvement and compliance projects
Essential Experience:
• NEBOSH Certificate in General Health & Safety
• GCSEs (A–C) in English, Maths, and Science
• Strong IT skills, especially Excel, Word, and Teams
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivated, with a proactive mindset
• Comfortable communicating at all levels
Desirable:
• IEMA or CQI membership
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001
• Experience in a manufacturing or medium-risk environment
• Risk assessment or audit experience
• Awareness of relevant H&S and environmental legislation
The successful applicant will be expected to undertake further training across all QSHE areas. This is a role for someone with the ambition to develop into a fully rounded compliance professional.

• Full-time, office based, outskirts of Grantham
• Easily commutable from Grantham, Newark, Bingham, Melton Mowbray, and surrounding areas
