Assistant Company Secretary - 12 Month FTC - Hybrid
Our client, a leading European life sciences organisation, is seeking an Assistant Company Secretary to support the Company Secretary for a 12-month period.
The role is hybrid, requiring 2 days per week in the office located in central London.
The main focus will be on supporting the Company Secretary in delivering secretariat services and corporate governance. The Assistant Company Secretary will work closely with various parts of the business, including boards of the company and investors, to ensure the smooth operation of the Company Secretary function. This includes providing expertise on legal, governance, regulatory, and compliance matters to minimise risk.
Key responsibilities include managing administration of long-term incentive schemes, preparing documentation on key issues, obtaining investor consents, maintaining a register of consents, compiling financial reports, overseeing corporate structures, and ensuring timely regulatory filings.
Applicants should have prior Company Secretarial experience, particularly within organisations with large group structures and European subsidiaries. Knowledge of NHS and pharmaceutical industry practices, company law, minute-taking, and preparing/distributing board papers is preferred.
