This long-established estate owner operates across a range of sectors, including retail, office, and industrial properties, and is now seeking an Assistant Commercial Property Manager to join their in-house property team.

The Role
As the Assistant Commercial Property Manager, you will be working closely with the senior property management team to ensure the smooth operation of the estate’s commercial properties. This will involve a variety of responsibilities including tenant liaison, property inspections, lease management, financial reporting, and assisting with property maintenance. The role offers excellent opportunities for career development and hands-on experience within a well-established property management team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting the management of a diverse commercial property portfolio (retail, office, industrial). Assisting in the preparation of service charge budgets, rent invoicing, and financial reporting. Conducting property inspections and ensuring all maintenance and repair issues are addressed. Acting as the first point of contact for tenants, addressing queries and ensuring high levels of service. Assisting in the lease management process, including renewals, rent reviews, and tenant negotiations. Coordinating contractor work for property repairs and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintaining accurate property records, lease documentation, and tenant communication logs. Supporting the marketing of vacant properties and assisting with tenant sourcing. Ensuring all activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
About You
We are looking for candidates with a passion for commercial property management and a keen interest in developing their skills in this area. The ideal candidate will have:
Some experience or a strong interest in commercial property management (previous experience is advantageous but not essential). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with tenants, contractors, and internal teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. IT proficiency, including a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and experience with property management software is a plus. A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges. A desire to pursue RICS qualification or professional development in property management.
