A leading clinical research organization is seeking an Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner in London. The successful candidate will need experience in an NHS or university research environment and will be responsible for participant interactions, clinical assessments, and study compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The Department of Twins Research team is seeking a highly motivated individual to join as an Assistant Clinical Research Practitioner. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an NHS/University research environment and with participants involved in large, complex studies.
The post holder will be responsible for describing studies, obtaining fully informed consent, and ensuring research safeguards participant well-being and complies with Good Clinical Practice (GCP). They will perform clinical assessments, including venepuncture and cannulation, and interact with participants throughout the study, liaising with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication skills, professionalism, initiative, and teamwork are essential.
The role involves conducting clinics at GSTT with flexibility for different environments and times. Responsibilities include coordinating research, organizing study-related care, aiding participant enrollment, maintaining data and study supplies, and ensuring compliance with regulations such as SOPs, Medicines for Human Use Regulations, and the Human Tissue Act.
TwinsUK is the UK's largest adult twin registry, with over 15,000 twins, focusing on the genetics of various diseases. The role offers opportunities for professional development, CPD funding, and training. Typical hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, with occasional flexibility for outside hours.
