Job Title: Graduate / Assistant Cleanwater Modeller
Location: UK Fully Remote (occasional travel to client site in the South West, approx. once per month – travel expenses covered)
Job Type: Permanent
Reports To: Cleanwater Modelling Lead

Role Overview

We are looking for a Graduate or Assistant Cleanwater Modeller to join our team, supporting the analysis, reporting, and hydraulic modelling of clean water network performance. The role involves handling regulatory and operational data to assess customer supply interruptions and network behaviour, contributing directly to performance improvements and compliance reporting.

This fully remote position includes occasional visits (approximately once per month) to a client site in the South West, with travel expenses fully covered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyse water supply events to assess duration, extent, and customer impact in line with regulatory expectations
  • Compile, validate, and report monthly performance data related to supply interruptions
  • Liaise with operational and compliance teams to verify data and support incident reviews
  • Assist with cleanwater hydraulic modelling activities using InfoWorks WS Pro (or similar)
  • Maintain and improve cleanwater network datasets
  • Monitor customer contact data, pressure, and flow trends to identify and investigate anomalies
  • Support development of improved reporting processes and data system efficiencies
What You’ll Need
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and strong data analysis capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Understanding of basic hydraulics (e.g. headlosses, flows, pressures)
  • Willingness to learn network modelling tools such as InfoWorks WS Pro
  • Experience or familiarity with GIS tools (QGIS or ArcGIS) is highly desirable
  • Any coding/scripting experience (e.g. Python, SQL) is a plus but not essential
  • Motivation to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
  • Willingness to travel to client site in the South West once per month (expenses covered)
