We are currently seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join our growing Exeter infrastructure team. This is an opportunity to join a reputable group with a strong forward workload. We have been at the heart of the local community in the South West for many years and are now looking at further expansion.
Our projects include a wide range of public and private sector schemes, including significant development, infrastructure, and regeneration projects from small-scale local schemes to larger national frameworks.

You will play an important role within our team, supporting the production of drainage/highway designs and provisions for all types and scales of development projects, as well as assisting in securing S278/S38 and S104 technical approvals. You will collaborate with Engineer and Technician colleagues to deliver outputs within agreed deadlines.
Your role will be varied and challenging, offering opportunities to learn from the wider group and advance your career. We will work with you to identify your training needs and provide a clear pathway for progression. You will be part of a welcoming, progressive, and inclusive team dedicated to adding lasting value to the communities we serve.
Ideally, you will have a degree in Engineering and an interest in progressing towards Chartership. You should have some experience in drainage, highways, or civil infrastructure design projects and be eager to expand your knowledge. Skills with Microdrainage and Civils 3D are advantageous.
Previous consultancy experience working on civil infrastructure projects is preferable. Your passion and experience in delivering quality infrastructure design solutions are crucial for success in this role.
