Assistant Civil Engineer - Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Civil Engineer to join our client’s office in Cross Hill, West Yorkshire. Our client is renowned for delivering complex design solutions across commercial, leisure, and residential sectors, providing tender-winning designs for developers and contractors.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civils 3D, and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in Residential and Industrial projects is advantageous.
• Knowledge of highway design elements such as Section 38/104 and 278 Agreements.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Engineering Manager with technical support and service delivery.
• Create engineering drawings and sketches using CAD software.
• Ensure efficient, effective, and high-quality service delivery with flexible working and responsibility acceptance.
• Obtain building regulation approvals.
• Negotiate with drainage utilities, the Environment Agency, and local flood authorities.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Micro Drainage/Windes.
• Proven drainage experience, preferably in housing projects.
• Experience with Section Agreements.
• Proficiency with MS Office and AutoCAD, Civils 3D.
