Job summary

BCG is seeking an Assistant Chef to join a small kitchen team in a care home, supporting the Head Chef and deputising in their absence to deliver nutritious meals for residents.

You will help maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in line with EHO regulations, provide person-centred hospitality, and contribute to a positive resident experience while working flexible schedules. PVG check and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• SVQ/NVQ level 2 in Catering & Hospitality or Professional Cookery.
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Good understanding of HACCP.
• PVG check and right to work in UK.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef and deputise in their absence.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen according to EHO regulations.
