Job summary

The Lindsay Care Home in Poole, operated by Bupa, is seeking an Assistant Chef on bank hours to support our resident dining experience.

You will use fresh ingredients to create varied menus, train kitchen staff, and ensure meals meet dietary needs while upholding COSHH and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fresh food kitchen with a passion for cooking.
• Relevant hygiene certificates and food safety awareness.
• Ability to plan varied, nutritious menus and train others.

Responsibilities

• Create varied, nutritious menus aligned with dietary needs.
• Train and manage the kitchen team in prep, cooking and serving.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, policies and budgets.
• Cater for events and seasonal activities as required.

You want to create and deliver an excellent dining experience at each meal and make our residents feel at home. Open to new ideas, you'll have an innovative approach to cooking whilst always adhering to high standards.
