Job summary

Assistant Chef role at Red Court Care Home in Croydon, Bank contract. You will assist in producing varied, nutritious menus tailored to residents’ dietary needs and preferences, while supervising and training the kitchen team to prep, cook and serve dishes.

You will ensure compliance with COSHH and HACCP guidelines, manage orders and deliveries, and contribute to special events and seasonal activities for residents’ enjoyment.

Responsibilities

• Using your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied, nutritional menus for residents' dietary needs.
• Suggest ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience and help residents feel at home.
• Train and manage the kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving food.
• Adhere to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies, budgets; manage orders and deliveries.
• Cater for events and seasonal activities such as fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays.

• Using your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus in line with dietary needs and preferences of our residents
• Putting forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience, helping our residents to feel at home
• Training and managing the kitchen team in prepping, cooking and serving of food
• Adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, managing orders and deliveries
• Catering for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays (as required)
