Job summary

ISC group is seeking an Assistant Chef to join the hospitality team at Repton School. The role involves supporting a first-class catering service for pupils, staff and visitors, handling events ranging from buffets to large dining occasions, and maintaining 5* kitchen cleanliness.

Flexibility is required to cover the Prep School, boarding houses and outdoor events as needed, with a 40-hour week during term time plus 288 Enterprise hours outside term.

Qualifications

• Assistant Chef role within a hospitality team delivering catering to pupils, staff and visitors.
• Support the Hospitality chef in preparation and delivery of buffets, lunches and large dining events.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and adapt to cover Prep School, Boarding houses and outdoor events.

• Assist in planning and delivering catering services for daily meals and events.
• Prepare food for buffets, lunches and formal dining events to a high standard.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met.

Job description

Location: Repton Senior, with flexibility to cover at Repton Prep if needed.

Contract Type: Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours of work: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 during TTO, plus 288 Enterprise hours outside of term.

Salary:£14.85 per hour

Repton School are looking for an Assistant Chef, who will predominantly work within the hospitality team to provide a first-class catering service to Pupils, Staff and Visitors. Our catering service can range from buffets and lunches through to large formal dining events. The Assistant chef will support the Hospitality chef in the preparation and delivery of all these events to a high standard, whilst maintaining 5* standards of cleanliness in the kitchen. Flexibility will be required to support the catering operation including (but not limited to) Prep School, Boarding houses & Outdoor events.
