Salary of £35,000

Mix of early and late shifts

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Organises and supervises food preparation and service
  • Ensures catering services are operated in accordance with all relevant food hygiene and health and safety process and procedures
  • Leads and manages catering staff team on a day-to-day basis
  • Supports the Catering Manager in ensuring all catering staff are suitably trained to perform their duties to required standards
  • Maintains effective control systems and records of stock
  • Maintains and rotates appropriate stock levels, ensures minimum wastage of product
  • Successfully resolves customer and employee complaints
  • Develops effective client relationships through regular communication
  • Attends training as and when required, training may be scheduled outside normal working hours
  • Compliance with all Statutory and Company health and safety practices and procedures, including manual handling
  • Adheres to all company rules, regulations, policies, procedures and provisions of contract
  • As and when required, carries out additional tasks concerned with the operation of the Establishment

For Education Establishments, compliance with Statutory and Company Safeguarding regulations

Education, Training & Qualifications

  • NVQ in supervision and leadership
  • Food preparation experience, Food hygiene certificate desirable

For Education Establishments, satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure or security clearance and cleared Barred List Check essential
