Job summary

Tagged Resources Recruitment specialists supplying Fashion, Beauty, Food and Home is offering an Assistant Category Manager role in Manchester. This position supports the development and delivery of commercial product ranges across multiple categories and brands, working with internal teams and international suppliers to ensure timely, on-spec products.

You will assist with sourcing, sampling, costings and critical path management, building strong stakeholder relationships while maintaining

Do you have a passion for textiles, a great eye for detail and a talent for keeping things organised, looking to play a key role in bringing ranges to life - from initial product briefs through to final launch.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Category Manager!

What will you be doing?

Reporting to the Senior Buyer and working closely with the wider Category Team, the Assistant Category Manager will support the development and delivery of commercial product ranges across a wide range of product categories and brands

This role will play a key part in the product development process, assisting with sourcing, sampling, costings, supplier communication, competitor analysis, range planning and critical path management. You will work collaboratively with internal departments including Sales, Design, Merchandising and QA, as well as international suppliers and factories, to help ensure products are developed and delivered on time, to specification and within budget.

What are we looking for?

Someone who is highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and build strong relationships with different stakeholders.

Experience in buying, product development, category administration or a similar retail environment working in Textiles, would be a great advantage. You'll also need excellent communication skills, the confidence to work independently and a real passion for keeping processes running smoothly.
