An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Assistant Caretaker to support the maintenance of their school site. This part-time role involves working closely with the Site Manager and requires excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, a commitment to safeguarding children, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. About the School
Rudston Primary School is a school maintained by the Local Authority and is situated in the heart of the Childwall community. The school was graded as 'Good' by Ofsted in it's latest inspection. Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment to keeping children safe. About the Role
We are looking to recruit a reliable, professional and hardworking individual to support the Site Manager in maintaining all aspects of the school site. The successful candidate will also be required to cover the Site Managers annual leave and work additional hours on these days when necessary (please see job description for further information). They will work under the direction of the Headteacher, School Business Manager and Site Manager
Personal Qualities
Good levels of literacy, numeracy and computer skills. Good knowledge of Health & Safety requirements. Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain confidentiality. The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. A positive attitude, demonstrating flexibility and good-humour. Experience of working in a school environment would be beneficial but not essential. Any experience or qualifications in a skilled trade such as joinery or plumbing (for example) would also be welcomed. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
