Join Our Team as an Assistant Manager in Canterbury


Location: Canterbury, Kent


Salary: £28,000 per annum


Are you an experienced Assistant Manager ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of autistic adults? Homersham is a modern supported living development just outside Canterbury city centre, and we're looking for a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team and hit the ground running!


About Us


Welcome to Homersham, a spacious modern building comprising seven high-spec flats and bedsits designed to meet the unique needs of autistic adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges. Our mission is to provide exceptional care and support in a community setting.


Your Role

  • As an Assistant Manager, you will:
  • Collaborate with the onsite Supported Living Manager and Team Leaders to recruit, retain, and develop staff.
  • Provide regular supervisions and competency assessments, working closely with the QA team and Operations Manager.
  • Lead one of three teams, providing support and oversight to all team members.
  • Build positive and engaging relationships with tenants, families, staff, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuity and consistency in the quality of care.

About You

  • An experienced Assistant Manager with strong supervisory skills and a coaching mindset.
  • Prior experience in adult social care, ideally with autism or learning disabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • IT literacy and confidence with digital systems.
  • A driver comfortable with driving company vehicles, including a small minibus.
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.
