Job description

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Care Home Manager to work in an exceptional residential home based in the Kilmarnock, Scotland area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers.


This home offers residential support for adults with a primary learning disability diagnosis, who may also have physical health needs or be on the autism spectrum.


To be considered for this position, you must hold an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure a smooth and efficient running of the service.
  2. Support the Registered Manager by being responsible for key areas of service provision and, in their absence, being responsible for the overall service, including providing, managing, and coordinating support for residents.
  3. Good understanding of budgets, along with the ability to manage rotas, lead a team of staff, and meet with internal and external stakeholders when required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  1. Understanding of person-centred, needs-led, and outcome-based service.
  2. Committed to quality care and service provision.
  3. Able to work under pressure.
  4. Able to maintain confidentiality.
  5. Demonstrable and proven managerial experience within a similar role and responsibilities for the management and supervision of a staff team.

The successful Deputy Care Home Manager will receive an excellent salary of GBP 13.10 per hour, with an annual salary of GBP 25,545 per annum.
