Hours: 34-36 hours per week

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in organizing, planning, and preparing meals that are delicious and reflect residents’ dietary preferences and requirements.
• Assist in providing guidance and training to care teams on safe and appropriate textured food options, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Maintain industry and Meallmore quality, hygiene, and cleanliness standards.
• Participate in menu development, tailoring options to residents’ needs, likes, and dislikes for person-centred hospitality.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong cookery skills and creativity in preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals.
• A warm, personal approach and genuine interest in residents’ well-being.
• Ability to work to deadlines and meet residents’ needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of food safety practices.
• Knowledge of nutrition, dietary needs, and food allergies is desirable but not essential.
• Culinary qualification is desirable but not essential.
