Job Opportunity: Assistant Cardiac Physiologist

The Lancashire Cardiac Centre is a tertiary cardiac provider serving Lancashire & Cumbria. The centre offers extensive invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic services, including:

  • Electrocardiography (ECG)
  • Blood pressure & ECG Holters
  • Exercise Stress Testing
  • Echocardiography
  • Pacemaker & Blackout clinics

We are seeking a friendly and adaptable Assistant Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiac Investigations Unit. The role involves providing comprehensive ECG services to inpatients and outpatients and assisting with non-invasive procedures.

The successful candidate will:

  • Perform and interpret 12-lead ECGs in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Support non-invasive diagnostics such as exercise testing and tilt table testing
  • Manage clinics for Holter monitoring for ECG & BP
  • Work in community hubs in Fleetwood and Whitegate Drive when trained

Ideal candidates will have experience working with the public or in healthcare, with training provided to interpret ECGs. The role requires teamwork, initiative, organization, and adaptability. The department operates from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
