QD STORES LTD is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our garden centre team. You will work closely with the Garden Centre Manager to lead and develop the team, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and the highest standards of customer service are maintained.

Ideal candidates will have supervisory experience in retail or garden centre settings, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a real passion for gardening and outdoor living.

• Support the Garden Centre Manager in daily running of the business.
• Lead, motivate and support the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Assist with staff rotas, training and performance management.
• Ensure all departments are well-presented, stocked and maintained to a high standard.
• Monitor stock levels, ordering, deliveries and merchandising.
• Drive sales and maximise commercial opportunities.
• Help achieve sales targets.
• Deal confidently with customer enquiries, feedback and complaints.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times.

• Has a genuine interest in gardening, plants and outdoor living.
• Is flexible in regards to hours of work.
