Assistant CAD Designer - High Wycombe

A leading UK-based manufacturer of building services products is seeking a Junior CAD Designer to join their growing design team in High Wycombe. This is a fantastic opportunity for a technically minded and detail-oriented individual looking to kick-start or develop their career in CAD design within the engineering and manufacturing sector.

Essential Criteria:

BTEC, HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Product Design or a related technical field.

*

Working knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit or SolidWorks).

*

Basic understanding of ventilation systems, HVAC, or mechanical design principles (training can be provided).

*

Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical drawings.

Desirable Criteria:

*

Familiarity with engineering drawing standards such as BS8888 or ISO.

*

Understanding of building envelopes and product manufacturing processes.

*

Previous experience in a manufacturing or building services environment.

The Role:

You will support the design and manufacture of ventilation and noise control systems by producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings, technical documentation, and specifications. Working closely with engineers, architects, and production teams, you'll contribute to innovative, practical, and compliant design solutions.

Responsibilities include:

Producing and updating CAD drawings for product and system designs.

*

Supporting product layout, installation detailing and assembly diagrams.

*

Collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams.

*

Assisting in the creation of BOMs and liaising with suppliers.

*

Maintaining drawing version control and documentation standards.
