The Assistant Buyer Level 2 reports to a Buyer/Senior Buyer, working together to deliver optimal ranges for our customers and supporting functions such as Sourcing, Product Innovation, and Merchandising. The role involves some buying responsibilities and is a stepping stone to becoming a Buyer. The goal is to deliver profitable, customer-centric ranges and support the buying team daily.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Buyer include:

• Collaborating with the Buyer or Senior Buyer to develop customer-focused ranges with appropriate pricing and quality standards.
• Managing supplier relationships and negotiating costs.
• Overseeing critical path management.
• Supporting the development and motivation of BAA’s under guidance.
• Contributing to margin target achievement.
• Planning and building fashion ranges, supporting senior team members.
• Analyzing weekly sales to identify top and bottom performers and taking trade actions.
• Monitoring market trends and customer activity through competitor analysis, sales, and trend research.
• Participating in fit sessions and product development.
• Attending and contributing to buying meetings.
• Reviewing weekly sales performance.
• Checking and fixing product setup issues on the website as needed.

Qualifications and skills needed:

• A relevant degree in fashion or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills.
• A strong interest in fashion and customer focus.
• Motivated and driven attitude.
• Retail experience is essential.
