Job summary

Multitask Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Assistant Buyer for a manufacturing site in Lytham. The role offers a £28,000 per annum salary in a full-time, permanent position.

You will support day-to-day buying, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to ensure materials and components are available when needed. You’ll work with Production, Warehouse, Quality and Finance to maintain a smooth supply chain, raise POs, manage the 12-week plan, and help develop just-in-time purchasing.

Qualifications

• Experience in buying, purchasing or procurement environment.
• Manufacturing/engineering experience advantageous.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Raise and manage purchase orders in line with company procedures.
• Collaborate with Production Planner to understand 12-week production plan.
• Place orders to ensure materials are available when required.
• Check purchase orders have correct authorisation and follow up deliveries.
• Maintain supplier records and supplier information (contacts, terms, MOQs, lead times).
• Update purchasing system/ERP with accurate information and provide admin support.
