Retail Human Resources plc is seeking an assistant buyer for their Leeds homeware team. You will work with the homeware buyer to develop a distinctive product range, place and manage orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
The role requires a degree in fashion buying or related discipline, or at least one year of buying experience, with strong buying fundamentals and a passion for product.

With a strong focus on creating products that bring personality and feel-good energy to the customer, they’re looking for a commercially minded and product-obsessed assistant buyer to join their homeware buying team in Leeds.
Working closely with the homeware buyer, you’ll support the development of a commercially successful and distinctive product range from initial concept through to launch. Responsibilities will include placing and managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, working with and negotiating with suppliers, researching new products and trends, supporting range planning and pricing, monitoring stock and inventory, analysing product performance and working collaboratively with merchandising, design, QA and marketing to ensure products are delivered successfully.
We’re looking for someone with a degree in fashion buying or a related discipline, or an experienced buying assistant with at least one year’s experience.Homeware experience isn’t essential— we’re interested in candidates with strong buying fundamentals and a genuine passion for product. You’ll need to be commercially aware, organised and highly detail-focused, with good communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders. You’ll also be proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
The role ispermanent and Leeds-based, with a salary of£27,000plusone day working from home per week. This is a great opportunity to join an established and creative buying team and play a hands-on role in developing an exciting homeware product range.
