Job summary

Trafford Park is seeking an Assistant Buyer to join our fast-paced Buying department in Trafford Park, Greater Manchester. You will safeguard data accuracy, drive critical path timelines and keep core buying processes running smoothly.

Reporting to the Buyer/Head of Buying, you will liaise with suppliers and internal teams, manage compliance, and prepare data, SKUs, and range plans to support launches and trade shows.

• High attention to detail with a right-first-time mindset for data input and process integrity.
• Strong written and verbal skills, comfortable leading weekly updates and building relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
• Energetic, resilient, and able to prioritise effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor critical path from brief to launch; lead weekly meetings with Buying team to highlight risks and protect launch dates.
• Coordinate technical assessments, review certificates, and liaise with suppliers to resolve compliance issues.
• Own the completeness and accuracy of product listings and range data to keep data up to date.
• Create and update SKUs, range plans, and core system data points.
• Liaise with suppliers for required order assets and review inspection reports to mitigate shipment risks.
• Assist Buyers for trade shows and business trips by coordinating data, documentation and samples; oversee movement and storage of samples.
