If you're an experienced Assistant Buyer seeking a chance to enhance and advance your skills, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for. Join our dynamic Fashion Buying Team as an Assistant Buyer for our Childrenswear label. You will collaborate closely with design and production teams to ensure timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality product development. Your role involves sourcing suppliers, managing relationships, and guiding team members including BAAs and Trainees in systems management, sample handling, and administrative tasks.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Monitoring the product development and production timelines
• Assisting the Buyer in sourcing new suppliers and managing existing ones
• Maintaining effective communication with Supply Chain, Technical, Merchandising, and Store teams
• Addressing quality control issues and sourcing replacements swiftly

Range Development, Planning, Trading & Market Performance

• Preparing samples and supporting meetings
• Maintaining sales data and competitor analysis
• Presenting findings and visual data for meetings
• Overseeing ancillary items with focus on sustainability and quality
• Supporting garment costing, negotiations, and sourcing aligned with ethical standards

Communications & Web, Catalogue, Social Media

• Managing sample distribution and preparing for photoshoots
• Proofing data, website, and catalogues with creative input

Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Buyer
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to build relationships and work independently or as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Resilience and adaptability in a changing environment
