Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Buyer to join our fashion company's purchasing team.


The ideal candidate will support our Buyer in selecting and procuring products, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to our overall merchandising strategy.


The role:
  1. Assist in building range plans to deliver commercially viable product assortments at competitive prices.
  2. Manage critical path, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  3. Maintain and nurture relationships with suppliers, regularly reviewing their performance.
  4. Raise purchase orders with accurate information, including packing details and shipping information.
  5. Source new product ideas through research, including online trends, street style, and competitor analysis.
  6. Conduct regular store visits and provide relevant feedback.
  7. Support budget management, forecasting, and market trend monitoring.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in business, economics, marketing, or related field preferred.
  2. Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  3. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and merchandising software systems.
  5. Previous experience in merchandising is essential.
