Job summary

Rising Talent Recruitment Ltd. in the United Kingdom is creating a brand new Assistant Buyer role with ownership of a category and clear progression within procurement.

You will source products globally, raise and manage purchase orders, and collaborate with suppliers on availability, lead times and delivery. You’ll monitor stock and demand to support purchasing decisions, keep on top of orders, and assist with indirect purchasing while working closely with the wider supply chain team using ERP

Qualifications

• This role requires some previous procurement experience and a willingness to learn quickly.
• Experience with purchasing processes and supplier relationship management is beneficial.

A brand new role created due to business growth.

This is a newly created opportunity for an Assistant Buyer to join the team and take ownership of their own category.

You’ll be working with global suppliers, raising and managing purchase orders, keeping on top of stock and demand, and supporting with indirect procurement where needed. They’re not looking for someone who knows everything, but they do need someone with some previous procurement experience who understands the basics and can get up to speed quickly.

You might currently be a Purchasing Assistant, Procurement Assistant, Junior Buyer or Assistant Buyer and be looking for more ownership and progression.

You’ll be joining the business at a really exciting time, with continued growth, investment and plenty happening across the wider business.

Your day-to-day will include:
