Job summary

Zachary Daniels Recruitment is seeking a Buying Assistant for an online retailer operating across the UK and US. The role requires collaboration with Buyers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure timely ordering, tracking and accurate product data.

This is a great entry into a fast-paced retail buying environment. With exposure to womenswear and menswear, you will gain experience across lifecycle management fromPOs to launch.

Qualifications

• Experience as Buying Assistant or Merchandising Assistant in retail head office.

Responsibilities

• Raise, issue and maintain purchase orders across product categories.
• Support seasonal ranges with accurate product, pricing and delivery information.

BUYING ASSISTANT | ONLINE RETAILER ACROSS UK & US | 5 DAYS IN OFFICE | WOMENSWEAR AND MENSWEAR

Join a growing premium retailer where you'll play a key role in supporting the Buying team throughout the product lifecycle. Working closely with Buyers, suppliers and internal teams, you'll help ensure products are ordered, tracked and delivered on time while keeping product information accurate and up to date.

The Role

Raise, issue and maintain purchase orders across multiple product categories.

Support the management of seasonal ranges, ensuring product, pricing and delivery information is accurate.

Liaise with suppliers to manage order confirmations, delivery schedules and product information.

Request and coordinate product imagery, size guides and marketing assets.

Work closely with Operations, Ecommerce, Marketing and Finance to ensure products are ready for launch.

Support the resolution of stock, delivery and supplier queries.

Attend showroom appointments and trade events where required.

Assist with ad hoc projects and identify opportunities to improve buying processes.

About You

Previous experience in a Buying Assistant, Merchandising Assistant or similar retail head office role.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Confident working with numbers and proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Able to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive, eager to learn and passionate about product, with a genuine interest in developing a career in Buying.
