Our Childrenswear team is seeking a passionate Assistant Buyer to join their category at Harrods.

About The Role

This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of the luxury market, contributing to the success of our store and online platform.

You will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Buyer in implementing the department's strategy to achieve commercial targets.
• Researching trends and customer demand to select and plan product ranges across all channels.
• Building and maintaining relationships with vendors to ensure strong partnerships and optimal product performance.
• Managing in-season trading through stock management, sales data analysis, and negotiating re-orders or stock swaps.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (PR, Marketing, Online Trading, Visual Merchandising) to drive product launches and exclusive offerings.
• Producing and analyzing performance reports, floor plans, and weekly trade updates to optimize sales.
• Handling administrative tasks and serving as a key contact for Concession Brand Managers.

Depending on your role, you may work fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working, as part of our ‘Hybrid’ policy. This allows colleagues to work from home part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs. About You

You will be a talented professional with previous buying experience, ideally within luxury retail. Strong numeracy and analytical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities are essential for collaboration and driving success.

You will also:

• Be a creative thinker with a keen eye for trends.
• Have exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Hold a university degree (desirable).
