Job description

Are you ready to take the next step in your property management career? We're looking for an Assistant Building Manager to support the delivery of exceptional service at a prestigious Central London commercial property.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to be part of a team that s making buildings work better not just for profit, but for people and the planet too.

What You ll Be Doing:
As the Assistant Building Manager, you ll work closely with the Building Manager and Senior Management Team to ensure the smooth day–to–day operation of a landmark site. You ll be the first point of contact on site and play a key role in delivering excellent service, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the management of planned and reactive maintenance across the building
  • Monitoring compliance with statutory and internal policies, CDM regulations, and ISO standards
  • Managing and reviewing supplier and contractor performance
  • Assisting with service charge budget preparation and expenditure monitoring
  • Coordinating sustainability initiatives including energy reduction and recycling
  • Overseeing health & safety, emergency preparedness, and scenario testing
  • Engaging with occupiers to improve satisfaction through great service and placemaking activities
  • Maintaining site systems including permit to work, log books, environmental plans, and risk registers
You ll also bring:
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • IOSH qualification or willingness to obtain it
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • A passion for delivering great customer experiences
  • Confidence working with service partners and suppliers
  • A commitment to sustainability, safety, and innovation
