Role Purpose

As the Assistant Brand and Creative Manager, you will report to the Brand Manager and support the brand team to create, develop, and cascade core brand and seasonal campaign assets. Including but not limited to brand and event creative guidelines, key campaigns, in-store imagery, and other exciting projects. All should maintain the Superdrug brand, deliver a consistent customer message, enhance the store environment, and be optimized for online channels (O+O); with the aim to retain and attract new customers, in line with business strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Brand – To assist the Brand Manager with developing and maintaining the Superdrug brand guidelines that embrace brand values and deliver a recognisable and consistent message on how the brand is communicated, for use in all marketing activity, media, and applications.
  • Brand – To be one of the key brand guardians for Superdrug and support the Brand manager with effectively communicating guidelines to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that the brand has a consistent look and feel both in-store and online.
  • Brand – To manage & maintain the supplier tagging sign-off process, ensuring all tagged media maximizes Superdrug’s exposure and adheres to our guidelines.
  • Brand – Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Brand – Undertake special and tactical projects as and when required.
  • Creative & Campaign – To oversee the creation of all event creative guidelines, within the customer calendar. From briefing, execution, and handover to internal & external stakeholders.
  • Creative & Campaign – Be an expert in brief creation, including direction of the event/theme, objectives, KPIs, including relevant brand and creative examples, trends/insights, and clear deliverables for the agency.
  • Creative & Campaign – Assist the Brand Manager with the creative process for all Superdrug brand shoots (lifestyle & product) ensuring that all imagery adheres to Superdrug’s brand guidelines and values.
  • Creative & Campaign – Host cross-functional meetings, with the aim to share key information, review campaign execution across channels, and align on key objectives and timings.
  • Creative & Campaign – Keep on top of design trends and look at new ways to communicate to customers in an inclusive and accessible way.
  • Creative & Campaign – Ensure accurate communication across the business to ensure that the business and marketing strategy is consistently translated across all media.
  • Creative & Campaign – Work with Buying and Finance teams to look at return on investment evaluations, seeking opportunities to develop ideas and identify initiatives to execute future creatives.
  • Creative & Campaign – Carry out seasonal competitor reviews and report back to key stakeholders.
  • Creative & Campaign – Work and manage agreed budgets and timescales.
  • Event Management – Manage our annual Supplier conference event from start to finish; with support from the brand manager and nominated colleges in the wider marketing team.
  • Event Management – Including Working With Our Event Agency To Source venues and hotel stays.
  • Event Management – Manage invitations, including the attendee's list.
  • Event Management – Event styling – bringing the theme to life through AV, décor, and staging.
  • Event Management – Work with key internal and external stakeholders on the ‘brand room’ – where teams bring the theme to life through key stands, with the opportunity for F2F time with our suppliers.
  • Event Management – Weekly management, presenting updates to the internal exec team, working closely with our marketing and trading director.
  • Event Management – Co-own other high-profile events, such as ‘The Star Awards’.
Who You Will Work With

Internal: Marketing Team, Commercial Team, Own Brand Team, Store Operations, Legal, Finance, Retail teams – Stores, Area Managers. External: Customers, Agencies, Suppliers, Partnership brands and other companies.

What You’ll Need
  • 2+ years’ experience working in marketing, creative or a similar field.
  • A degree in a creative / business field would be valuable.
  • You will understand the core principles of Marketing and have experience writing comprehensive briefs.

Hours: 37.5 | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.
