Job Role

Position: Assistant Bid Writer

Salary: £25,000

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Contract type: 4 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: This role can be performed remotely, with the manager based in Bath.

The Role

We’re entering an intensive period of procurement as several public contracts come up for re-tendering at the end of 2025. We’re looking for a highly organised and persuasive writer to work with our Business Development Manager, securing funding from local and central government to sustain and grow our life-changing services across the South West.

Responsibilities
  • Identifying and assessing new contract opportunities to inform seniors’ decision-making about whether or not to respond to invitations to tender.
  • Representing Julian House at market engagement and other provider events as needed.
  • Coordinating and writing high-quality responses to tenders working closely with colleagues in Client Services, Finance, HR, and other teams as needed, to design solutions which are both ambitious and deliverable.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Excellent writing skills, with ability to flex your style to meet different commissioners’ specifications.
  • Experience of working collaboratively to create proposals and deliver projects, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Some experience of public sector procurement processes would be desirable.
